After November, what do we do next?
The establishment goons like Carl Rove are outraged that the surfs have
surrounded the castle and are trying to figure out how to deal with us.
What they don’t understand is that the time for talk has come and gone.
The Tea Party has been working hard all across the nation in unique ways
to take over the GOP. We have succeeded here in Virginia’s 5th
Congressional district in replacing 11 Republican unit chairman and the
5th district chairman with leadership that understands the way we think.
For many of us this November is about a statement. That statement being a
loud rejection of Obama’s socialist policies. We do not have high hopes
that the GOP can effect any real change. However, getting nothing done
in Washington D.C. is better than the alternative. I personally don’t
see Obamacare getting repealed. It happens so rarely in D.C. that
anything positive occurs. Name one time since Obama took office that
legislation was passed that promoted liberty…still thinking? Save
yourself the headache. You won’t find it.
Instead what the Tea Party is working toward is restoring the vision
that the founders had of local control. It is found in the 9th and 10th
amendments. We have all the power and authority we need to push back
against this federal behemoth that is trying to take over every aspect
of our lives. We have it locally in the sheriff, supervisors and state
representatives. The Attorney’s General in states all across the Union
are pushing back. They are standing up for the people, as they should
and they have our support.
We have an economy that is hanging by a thread thanks to both Bush
and Obama. We have a mounting debt that many believe will exceed $18 trillion in the next 3 years. And, we don’t have one single solution
for how to deal with those problems when the a new Congress moves in.
I believe on November 3 that we will have succeeded in taking
back the House and possibly the Senate. The real quandary is “what do we
do then?”
