President Should Reconsider CHIP Veto Threat (Rep. Steve Cohen)
The President has threatened to veto CHIP. Of course, I will vote to override the President on this important matter but the House floor vote, unlike that in the Senate, was too close to be veto-proof. It is my fervent hope that the President will reconsider his intent to veto this vital legislation or that we are able to get the votes required to be successful in overriding the veto.
