Balancing our nation’s energy needs, while protecting our public lands always presents difficult challenges. Chairman Rahall (D-W.Va.) is to be commended for his hard work on this bill, however, with the Senate taking action on the bill this week, the bill is still a work in progress. I am looking forward to continue working with Chairman Rahall to seek consensus on differences once the bill goes into conference.
Editor’s note: Rep. Nick Rahall chairs the House Committee on Natural Resources; Rep. Costa chairs its Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources.
