McCain’s Closing Pitch: Don’t Trust Romney
With McCain’s closing pitch before Super Tuesday he is going negative against Mitt Romney with an ad that uses an often recycled quote from Romney’s past. “Look, I was an Independent during the time of Reagan-Bush. I’m not trying to return to Reagan-Bush,” Romney says. The ad also brings up his vote for Democratic contender Paul Tsongas for President in 1992 and closes with the announcer saying, “If we can’t trust Mitt Romney on Ronald Reagan, how can we trust him to lead America?” The ad is running on national news networks.
