We Must Train Workers for “Green Collar” Jobs (Rep. Jerry McNerney)

For more than 20 years before my election to Congress I worked with wind and other forms of renewable energy. I know there is tremendous job growth potential through new energy technology exploration and production which will lead to the creation of a new innovation economy and an entire spectrum of good-paying jobs here in the United States. But it is important that we take steps today to put in place the job-training infrastructure necessary to ensure America’s workers have the skills to capitalize on this renewable energy movement.
