House Moves to Fortify Navy’s Sub Fleet (Rep. Joe Courtney)

We in eastern Connecticut are very excited that the argument in favor a stronger submarine building program succeeded with the House policymakers and budget-makers. I think we did it on the merits of what’s best for our national security, not what’s best for my district, and I’m really pleased at the fact that it’s bipartisan and almost without objection at this point that the Navy should engage in a more robust shipbuilding program.
