Craig: Cutting Off Funds Sends “Mixed Message”
Below is Senator Larry Craig’s (R-Idaho) weekly Washington Report. The clip provides a quick review of what happened in Congress this past week.
On the Senate Iraq debate, the clip shows Craig speaking on the Senate floor. He says cutting off funding for U.S. troops would send a “mixed message” to our military and that “our enemies are listening” to the debate. Leaving Iraq would result in a “civil war of phenomenal proportion,” he says.
The clips also provides a useful synopsis of the minimum wage increase and Congress’ review of President Bush’s FY08 budget.
