Biden: We Must Stop This War

In his continued effort to shift the focus from remarks he made about Senator Barack Obama (D-Ill.), Senator Joe Biden (D-Del.) is painting himself as a top anti-war candidate with the necessary experience to get the U.S. out of Iraq without the situation in the Middle East deteriorating.

At the Democratic National Committee’s Winter Meeting last Saturday, Biden addressed his recent controversial remarks about Obama and criticized the President Bush’s Iraq policy.

“Truly regret that the words I spoke offended people I admire very much,” Biden said. “I am humbled that so many of these same people as well as many of you in this room judge them by my history and my heart. And for that, I’ll be forever grateful to all of you.”

Biden then criticized the Bush administration, stating, “This administration has dug America into a very very deep hole.”

“American is more isolated and, consequently, less secure,” Biden continued. “And, the American people are more uncertain about their future than any time in the last half century.”
