Tuesday: Budget debate
House and Senate lawmakers are working on their budget proposals Tuesday.
The Senate will convene at 10 a.m. Following any leader remarks, they’ll restart debate over the GOP budget resolution.
{mosads}Senators are expected at 12 p.m. to vote on Sen. Bernie Sanders’ amendment to bolster infrastructure. The Vermont senator said it would also create up to 9 million jobs.
The Senate is also expected to recess between 12:30 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. for weekly party lunches.
Meanwhile, the House will convene at 10 a.m. for morning hour and 12 p.m. for legislative business. Votes are expected between 1:15 p.m. and 2:15 p.m.
