GOP slams ObamaCare with wave of oversight hearings

House Republicans next week will hold several oversight hearings on ObamaCare that focus on the failed HealthCare.gov website and data privacy on the site.

On Wednesday, the House Oversight & Government Reform Committee meets to discuss the rollout of the website, and will hear from officials who can talk about the technical issues the site has had. Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) has threatened to subpoena one official who has said he won’t be there.

{mosads}Also Wednesday, the House Homeland Security Committee meets to examine the security of data entered into the flawed health website.

On Thursday, a subcommittee of the Energy and Commerce Committee will hold a hearing titled, “ObamaCare Implementation Problems: More than Just a Broken Website.”

A subcommittee of the House Education and the Workforce Committee also meets Thursday to examine how ObamaCare is affecting schools, colleges and universities.

The ObamaCare hearings are just part of a busy hearing schedule next week. On Wednesday, House and Senate Budget negotiators will meet again in an effort to find a 2014 budget deal.
