Lew, Perez, Moniz on the Hill

The House next week will continue with a series of budget hearings featuring members of President Obama’s Cabinet.

Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew, Labor Secretary Thomas Perez, and Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz will all testify Wednesday before various subcommittees of the House Appropriations Committee.

{mosads}The hearings come in the same week that Republicans plan to pass three bills to reform the budget process. The week after next, Republicans will pass a budget for fiscal year 2015.

Also next Wednesday, the House Small Business Committee will hold a hearing to examine the risks that Bitcoin poses for small companies. Just this week, the IRS said it would begin taxing bitcoins in the same way the IRS taxes property.
