GOP keeping pressure on IRS in hearings next week

On Tuesday, the House Ways and Means Committee will hear testimony from groups who were targeted by the IRS for their political beliefs. That hearing gets at the heart of the scandal in which the IRS has admitted applying extra scrutiny to politically conservative groups.

On other issues, the House Education and the Workforce Committee will meet Tuesday to hear testimony about the Obama administration’s 2014 budget proposal for the Department of Health and Human Services. HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius will testify.
