Obama administration supports Patriot extension, rejects healthcare cuts
In a separate SAP, the administration said it opposes H.R. 1216, which would cut federal support for graduate medical education by more than $200 million over the next decade.
“The administration will strongly oppose legislation that attempts to erode the important provisions of the Affordable Care Act that are making healthcare more affordable and accessible for all Americans,” the SAP said. However, it did not go as far as saying the administration would veto this bill.
The House is expected to approve H.R. 1216 Monday afternoon.
