Featured House hearings: Geither on credit, CBO on budget outlook
On Thursday, Congressional Budget Office Director Doug Elmendorf testifies before the House Budget Committee on the long-term budget outlook. Elmendorf’s comments are likely to feed into the ongoing discussion on how to structure a debt-ceiling agreement, and the extent to which an increase in the ceiling needs to be coupled with a commitment to cut spending.
