Wednesday: Patent reform and drilling in the House
After that, the House is expected to start with the patent bill. The rule makes 15 amendments in order for that bill. Later, members are expected to begin work on the energy bill, for which 10 amendments have been made in order.
Votes on amendments are expected around 7 p.m. The House is also expected to vote on H.R. 672, which would repeal the Election Assistance Commission. Members debated that bill late Tuesday night.
The Senate also returns at 9:30 a.m., and is expected to hold a cloture vote on S. 679, the Presidential Appointment Efficiency and Streamlining Act.
