All Dem amendments to House drilling bill rejected

Jackie Speier (D-Calif.), to strike language requiring air quality impacts of offshore drilling to only assess onshore pollution. Failed in 176-248 vote.

Alcee Hastings (D-Fla.), to maintain the regulation of vessels that service offshore energy operations for emissions. Failed in 167-254 vote.

Peter Welch (D-Vt.), to require all drilling permit applications to include data on federal subsidies received by the applicant. Failed in 183-238 vote.

Bill Keating (D-Mass.), to require all completed drilling applications to include data on bonuses provided to executives. Failed in 167-258 vote.

Bobby Rush (D-Ill.), to allow the EPA Administrator to provide 30-day extensions to the permitting process to ensure public input. Failed in a 172-253 vote.

Mike Quigley (D-Ill.), to strike the ban on the ability of the EPA’s Environmental Appeals Board to remand or deny permits. Failed in 173-251 vote.

Anna Eshoo (D-Calif.), to strike language saying permit appeals can only be heard by the DC Circuit Court of Appeals. Failed in 183-240 vote.

Lois Capps (D-Calif.), to preserve state authority over offshore operations where states have authority to issue air permits for offshore drilling activities. Failed in 180-242 vote.

Kathy Hochul (D-NY), to require a report that details how the bill would increase oil and gas production and lower energy prices. Failed in 186-238 vote.

Kurt Schrader (D-Ore.), to prohibit any permits under the Clean Air Act for oil drilling off the coast of Oregon. Failed in 160-262 vote.
