House approves same-sex marriage ban to DOD spending bill

Just before noon, the House rejected several other amendments, and was moving toward final passage of the bill. Rejected amendments are as follows:

Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.), cut $250 million to repair public schools on military bases operated by local education agencies; failed in 39-380 vote.

Flake, reduce the overseas contingency operations transfer fund by $3.6 billion; failed in 118-295 vote.

Flake, reduce funding for research, development, test and evaluation by one percent, or $730 million; failed in 100-321 vote.
