Homeland Security Committee plans 9/11 hearing next week

The committee has not released a witness list for either hearing.

{mosads}Full Committee Chairman Peter King (R-N.Y.) released a statement Thursday in which he said he agreed with a tenth anniversary 9/11 report card from the 9/11 Commission, which outlined security areas in which the U.S. still needs to improve even 10 years after the attacks.
Addressing this report, King said he will continue to press for passage of legislation that would set up a broadband network for U.S. first-responders, H.R. 607. He also said he would seek to streamline the congressional oversight of key U.S. security functions.
