House advances deregulation, campaign funding bills

One covered bill is H.R. 3463, which would end the $3 checkoff box that taxpayers can use to fund presidential campaigns. This bill would also terminate the Election Assistance Commission.

The two other bills covered by the rule would rein in federal regulations by requiring more agency justification for the rules they issue, and more detailed assessments on how they would affect small businesses. The Obama administration has already threatened to veto both bills, H.R. 3010 and H.R. 527.
