Rep. Diane Black (R-Tenn.) on Thursday blasted the Obama administration in light of a report that illegal immigrants with serious criminal histories had been released from custody.
USA Today reports the Obama administration had assured Congress that only some people in the country illegally who had minor criminal histories were released, but records indicate otherwise.
{mosads}”The continued incompetence of this administration is stunning,” Black said.
Black further argued that any executive action from President Obama on immigration after the November elections would erode public trust.
“Releasing potentially dangerous criminals like this is reckless and the idea that the Obama administration intends to make more unilateral immigration decisions after the election is frightening,” Black said. “The administration should work harder to earn the trust of the American people instead of moving forward with more controversial immigration policies.”
