House convenes for pro forma session

The House convened for a brief pro forma session Friday afternoon with no legislative business conducted.

Rep. Jeff Denham (R-Calif.) presided over the session, which included a prayer from the House chaplain, the Rev. Pat Conroy, and the Pledge of Allegiance. The chamber adjourned after about five minutes in session.

{mosads}The House will next convene for a pro forma session at noon on March 10. Members will not return for votes until March 16, and most will be in their districts next week.

Meanwhile, the Senate returns at 2 p.m. Monday for a regular workweek in Washington.
