House convenes for pro forma session

The House convened for a brief pro forma session on Friday with no legislative business conducted.

Rep. Barbara Comstock (R), who represents a northern Virginia district close to Washington, presided over the day’s proceedings. 

{mosads}After a prayer from Rev. Peter Frank of the Church of the Epiphany in Herndon, Va., and the pledge of allegiance, the House clerk publicly received official communications. 

The House will next return on Monday for roll call votes.
