Wednesday: Keystone approval, farm bill, Iran sanctions
Most of these come from Democrats eager to change a bill that many of them will oppose.
The House will also try to find time to pass two suspension bills:
— H.R. 271, the Resolving Environmental and Grid Reliability Conflicts Act, and
— H.R. 1949, the Improving Postsecondary Education Data for Students Act.
The Senate starts at 9:30 a.m. and may continue voting on amendments to S. 954, the Agriculture Reform, Food, and Jobs Act. As of late Tuesday, no firm amendment votes had been set.
The one sure vote, however, will come at 5 p.m., when senators will vote on an Iran sanctions resolution, S.Res. 65. Senators will debate that resolution for an hour — the measure supports the full implementation of all sanctions against Iran.
