House to work Saturday again
Republicans had not said which bills would be up that day, but there are several more the GOP is looking to approve, dealing with education, nuclear safety, border security and the National Weather Service.
{mosads}The House will make more progress on those bills today — it’s expected to pass a bill funding the Federal Aviation Administration, and another ensuring the Defense Department has the ability to make payments to families of fallen soldiers.
Democrats continue to oppose these bills, and call on Republicans to pass the Senate’s full continuing resolution.
The Senate may also be in to hold procedural votes on a bill that would allow the government to borrow above the current debt ceiling through 2014.
