Democrats approve party platform
Booker, the mayor of Newark, N.J., co-chaired the committee that wrote the party’s platform, which was released Monday evening.
{mosads}“Our platform is crafted by Democrats but it’s not about partisanship — it’s about pragmatism,” Booker said. “Our platform and president are not interested in petty political arguments.”
Booker used that campaign theme and said the Democratic platform is about moving the country forward, which is President Obama’s campaign slogan.
