Monday: Suspensions, appropriations

The Senate will convene but hold no roll call votes, while the House will vote on several bills under suspension of the rules and begin debate of the fiscal 2015 Financial Services appropriations bill.

First roll call votes of the week for the Senate are not scheduled until Tuesday at noon. But the upper chamber will return Monday at 2 p.m. for leader remarks.

{mosads}Meanwhile, the House will consider 20 bills under suspension of the rules, including several to name post offices. After votes at 6:30 p.m., the House will debate and consider amendments to the Financial Services bill.

As with other appropriations bills, the measure will be considered under an open rule that allows members to offer an unlimited number of amendments. A multitude of amendments are expected to be offered to the wide-ranging bill over the course of the next three days.
