Thursday: DHS, No Child Left Behind
The House will consider a replacement to No Child Left Behind Act on Thursday, while the Senate continues debate on funding for the Department of Homeland Security.
Morning debate in the House will take place at 10 a.m. The chamber will work through the 44 amendments to the No Child Left Behind education policy overhaul. Final passage and completion of amendments will take place Friday.
{mosads}First House votes on Thursday will be around 1:15-2:15 p.m., with a second vote series at about 6-7 p.m.
Meanwhile, the Senate will convene at 11 a.m. and resume consideration of the motion to proceed to the clean DHS funding bill without any language to revoke President Obama’s executive actions on immigration. Absent a unanimous consent agreement, the vote on the motion to proceed would take place around 9 p.m.
