McConnell lays out GOP demands on immigration reform
President Obama will deliver a speech in the border town of El Paso, Texas, later in the day in which he is expected to highlight his record of enforcement against illegal immigration and offer a “blueprint” for immigration reform.
McConnell warned Democrats that, unless both sides made concessions, immigration reform could be another piece of legislation to die in the 112th Congress.
“As with most serious challenges … the only way we’ll make progress is by working on a solution that’s acceptable to both parties,” said McConnell.
