GOP senator faces rowdy crowd at town hall

Johanns, who voted last week for a deal to increase the debt ceiling that did not include tax hikes, responded to the comments from the crowd by insisting that he would not vote to eliminate the Bush tax cuts and suggesting that “there are things you could do with tax reform” to reduce the nation’s deficit.

Johanns also blamed President Obama for many of the nation’s fiscal woes, arguing that new regulations put forth by the administration had “thrown a cold, wet blanket over job creation.”
