Vote-O-rama begins in Senate

When Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-Texas) offered to allow a snappy voice-vote on her amendment, which was the first of the evening, she received a round of hearty applause from her weary colleagues.

So far two out of the four amendments considered have received ten-minute votes while the other two were agreed to with voice votes. All amendments are also afforded a two minutes of debate equally divided between the parties.
