Senate confirms four Obama nominees
The Senate confirmed Theodore Mitchell to be under secretary of Education by voice vote Thursday.
Mitchell will serve under Secretary of Education Arne Duncan.
{mosads}The Senate also confirmed three of President Obama’s judicial nominees.
The Senate voted 94-0 to confirm the nomination of Indira Talwani to be a U.S. District Judge for Massachusetts.
James Peterson was confirmed on a 70-24 vote to be a U.S. District Judge for western Wisconsin.
And the Senate voted 95-0 to confirm the nomination of Nancy Rosenstengel to be a U.S. District Judge for southern Illinois.
Cloture was invoked on the nomination of Robin Rosenbaum to be U.S. Circuit Judge for the 11th Circuit on a 58-36 vote Thursday, but her final confirmation isn’t expected until Monday.
