Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) vowed to “keep fighting back” against President Obama’s energy regulations.
{mosads}“The president’s extreme energy regulations are little more than a political-turnout strategy masquerading as serious environmental policy,” McConnell said on the Senate floor Wednesday. “They need to be stopped.
“We’re going to keep fighting back.”
McConnell has been critical of the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) proposed regulation that would reduce carbon emissions of coal-fired power plants by 30 percent over 15 years. He has accused Obama of waging a “war on coal.”
