Republican senators dare Obama to work with them

Members of Senate Republican leadership challenged President Obama to work with them in the new Congress.

“I hope President Obama will take this chance to work with the new Republican Congress to pass pro-growth policies that help American families and workers,” Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) said.

{mosads}On Tuesday night, Republicans flipped more than the six seats needed to become the majority party in the Senate. They said the election results repudiated President Obama’s policies.

“In the new year, Senate Republicans will take immediate action on jobs, energy, healthcare, trade and national security,” Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) said. “The president has two years left in office to finally deliver the change people so desperately want in our country.”

Senate Republicans have said they would hold votes on priorities, such as repealing parts of ObamaCare, construction of the Keystone XL oil pipeline and limiting the president’s ability to issue executive orders.
