House passes Kennedy Center reauthorization act

Members also approved H.Con.Res. 106, authorizing the 71st annual soap box derby to be held on Capitol grounds, and S. 1302, conveying a parcel of land to Tracy, California. Both of these measures were approved by unanimous consent as well.

Members debated three other resolutions that received votes when the House returned at 6:30 p.m. They are H.Con.Res. 105, 117, and 118, allowing for Capitol commemoration of King Kamehameha’s birthday, a national police memorial service, and the Special Olympics torch run. These bills will either be approved Monday night or later in the week.

These resolutions were approved 376-0, 377-0 and 375-0, respectively.
