Easy Monday: Farm bill, nomination in the Senate
Regardless, after the Hurwitz vote, the Senate is expected to adopt a motion to proceed to the farm bill, S. 3240. That will start official work on the bill, which is expected to take several weeks.
{mosads}Aside from the farm bill, one of the other issues that could come up as early as Monday is a GOP resolution calling for the naming of a special counsel to investigate intelligence leaks from the Obama administration to the press. Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said his resolution to that effect could be announced Monday.
The House is out all week.
