McConnell: Democrats would rather bash Ryan budget than work on fiscal issues

Several Senate democrats have taken the floor to criticize vice presidential nominee Ryan’s budget plan.

{mosads}McConnell said Democrats’ only goal is to grow government, and in order to pay for it they’re willing to go after middle-class Americans.

“To fund to government they want, they’ll have to go after the middle class,” McConnell said. “That’s the math [Obama] didn’t mention in Charlotte.”

The Democratic National Convention wrapped up last week in Charlotte, N.C.

Democrats counter that the Romney-Ryan plan would slash domestic spending in order to give the wealthiest Americans tax cuts. McConnell said Obama has had four years to prove that his ideas on how to improve the economy would work.
