Senate bill requires audit of Homeland Security

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) passed the bill by unanimous consent before adjourning the Senate for the day.

{mosads}The bipartisan bill also directs the comptroller general to recommend improvements to a newly developed financial system at DHS.

Sens. Tom Carper (D-Del.) and Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) co-sponsored the bill, which now moves to the House for legislative action.
