Tuesday: John Kerry, reporting for duty

Sometime after the weekly caucus lunches, Kerry’s nomination is expected to come to the Senate floor. The last senator to be confirmed as secretary of State was Hillary Clinton, who didn’t vote on her own nomination four years ago this month.

As of late Monday, the Senate had not set a specific time for the nomination vote, but a time could be announced by Senate leaders in the morning. No other roll call votes are scheduled for Tuesday.
