Reid: Sanders didn’t talk convention plans in meeting with Dems

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) didn’t discuss his plans for the convention during a meeting Tuesday with Senate Democrats.

Asked Tuesday if Sanders discussed his plans for the Democratic convention next month in Philadelphia, Reid said “no.”

The question came after Sanders returned to the Capitol for the second time in a week to attend a weekly Senate Democratic policy lunch.

Reid said Sanders did discuss his experiences during the campaign with the caucus, which almost entirely supports Hillary Clinton, the party’s presumptive nominee.

“It was really very very moving,” Reid said.

Sanders’ campaign said separately that the Vermont senator is not planing to drop out of the race before the convention.
