Senate approves House bill to recognize Vietnam Memorial donors

{mosads}Rep. Don Young (R-Alaska) introduced H.R. 588, which allows for the recognition of private donors to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund’s new Education Center.

Last month, the House passed the bill on a 398-2 vote. But the Senate agreed to an amendment from Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) so the bill will head back to the House before being signed by President Obama.

The bill directs the Secretary of the Interior to display “short, discrete and unobtrusive” credits inside the education center but prohibits any advertising slogans or company logos.
