Senate committees will consider military funding next week
With a combination of sequestration and ending the Afghan War, spending levels were reduced in the administration’s budget.
{mosads}On the same day, the Senate Armed Service Committee will begin markup of the National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal 2014. Senators on the Armed Services Committee will continue marking up that bill late into the night Thursday and possibly Friday until work is complete. Those hearings are closed to the public.
