Reid calls on GOP to end ‘opposition for opposition’s sake’
{mosads}Reid said it wasn’t too late for that to change. He cited several major congressional and presidential achievements such as Social Security, Medicare and the federal highway system.
“We have an opportunity now to come together again, this time to lay the foundation for a stronger, smarter, better America,” Reid said.
Reid said his remarks were inspired by President Obama’s speech Wednesday where he laid out economic priorities.
Reid said “like President Obama, I am an optimist.”
