Chuck Norris aims to get out the vote

Chuck Norris is taking aim at voter registration rates.

Norris is poised to appear in a series of videos as part of the National Rifle Association Freedom Action Foundation’s (NRA-FAF) “Trigger the Vote” campaign, the group said Wednesday.

{mosads}The “Walker, Texas Ranger” star, 74, will serve as the campaign’s honorary chairman and be featured in clips focused on what the NRA-FAF is calling a “vigorous non-partisan voter registration program.”

Norris “will lead the campaign to defend our freedom,” the group says, in one of its missions to “protect Second Amendment rights.” The “Trigger the Vote” campaign started in 2009.

“The program uses a variety of means of communications to connect gun owners and Second Amendment supporters with tools to facilitate the voter registration process,” the NRA-FAF said in a release.
