Rep. Don Young, 81, gets engaged
Eighty-one year old Rep. Don Young (R-Alaska) is engaged to be married, according to The Associated Press.
Young is slated to marry Anne Garland Walton, a flight nurse who is in her 70s.
{mosads}The twenty-two term lawmaker announced the news and introduced his fiancee during a “Candidate Sunday” church service in Anchorage.
Young was married for 46 years to Lu Young until her death in 2009. He has two children.
The AP reported the engagement has been unofficial for some time and no date has yet been set for a ceremony.
Walton has been a political supporter of the congressman. The Washington Post reported she donated $500 to his campaign in 2010.
