Maher celebrates after back-to-back live DC shows
SPOTTED: Bill Maher celebrating the wrap-up of his two live D.C. shows with a bevy of celebrity and political pals — including Jerry Seinfeld, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), filmmaker Michael Moore, Keith Olbermann, and Grover Norquist, among others — at Penn Quarter eatery nopa Kitchen + Bar.
{mosads}The comedian on Friday night performed a pair of live shows back-to-back in Washington, filming his HBO show, “Real Time,” and then a stand-up comedy special.
Former Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele, NBC News journalist Andrea Mitchell, and New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd were also among the late-night partygoers. Guests at the comedic festivities were eyed hitting up an open bar and a huge dinner and dessert buffet at the American brasserie.
Maher on Friday announced the “winning loser” of his “Flip a District Challenge.” Rep. John Kline (R-Minn.) is not a top Democratic target this cycle, but Maher will now try to flip his district from red to blue to make the lawmaker “feel the heat” of his constituents.
