Lawmakers ‘spell out’ for early learning
SPOTTED: Members of Congress — including Democratic Reps. Rosa DeLauro (Conn.) and George Miller (Calif.) — donning faux hardhats and getting playful with giant alphabet blocks.
The playtime session on Wednesday at the Capitol was actually an event held by the group MomsRising.org, the National Women’s Law Center and the Strong Start Campaign for Children to “spell out the importance of early learning,” according to a news release.
