Kingston twirls with Colbert in Cannon
SPOTTED: Rep. Jack Kingston and Stephen Colbert blithely clasping hands and twirling with remarkable synchronization in the middle of the Cannon House Office Building rotunda.
{mosads}The Georgia Republican yukked it up with the Comedy Central “Colbert Report” star and soon-to-be host of CBS’s “Late Show,” as cameras were rolling on Friday. In video obtained by ITK, the two can be seen sliding down a banister in the Capitol, completing their epic handholding spin right in front of a security screening area, and then racing through a doorway.
An ITK spy also eyed the duo hula hooping and skipping down a Cannon hallway.
Kingston, 59, was the first member of Congress to participate in Colbert’s “Better Know a District” segment back in 2005.
Kingston’s office declined ITK’s request for comment on the latest shenanigans but provided The Atlanta Journal-Constitution with a photo of the congressman and Colbert donning hats and holding fishing poles Friday as they soaked their feet in the Capitol reflecting pool.
