NJ rep to celebrate video contest’s 25th year

Rep. Donald Payne Jr. (D-N.J.) will be on-hand Wednesday to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Panasonic’s student video competition Kid Witness News in his state.

{mosads}Kid Witness is marking its milestone with a ceremony in Newark, N.J. Former Secretary of State Colin Powell, the Rev. Jesse Jackson, and one-time first lady Barbara Bush are among the high-profile Washington-types who have been interviewed by participants in the video education program, which is geared toward elementary, middle and high school students.
 
The winner of the group’s 2014 Global Video Competition will also be named at the Wednesday festivities.
