Chelsea Clinton to Hillary: Just don’t sing

Chelsea Clinton has a longstanding request in to her mom: don’t sing!

The 34-year-old daughter of the former secretary of State reportedly got so sick of mom Hillary Clinton’s tunes when she was a toddler that she had to tell her to stop.

{mosads}The no-singing decree came to light as the former first lady chatted with Prince William and wife Kate Middleton Monday night at a wildlife conservation event in New York.

Middleton, who’s pregnant with the couple’s second child and is taking part in a whirlwind East Coast trip this week, had visited a children’s center in the Big Apple earlier in the day.

“We’re trying to encourage more people to sing … because the research suggests that it’s beneficial,” Clinton, accompanied by her daughter, told the Duchess of Cambridge, according to the U.K. newspaper The Telegraph.

But Chelsea Clinton, who gave birth to daughter Charlotte in September, apparently couldn’t take her mom’s constant crooning. As a toddler, she told her mom, “No sing, no sing!”

While President Obama has showed off his vocal chops before — famously singing Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together” at a 2012 fundraiser — Clinton has yet to perform publicly.
