McCotter: ‘I’m bald, and I’m happy’

Former Rep. Thad McCotter doesn’t need a full head of hair — or a desk in the Oval Office — to feel fulfilled.

The Michigan Republican and one-time presidential candidate tells ABC News that he’s not eyeing the White House in 2016.

{mosads}“I’m done,” the 2012 GOP candidate said in an interview published Tuesday. “I mean, I’m 49, I’m bald, and I’m happy. So why would I go back?”

McCotter — who actually isn’t completely follicle-free — made the hair declaration during comments about his new book, Liberty Risen: The Ultimate Triumph of Libertarian-Republicans.

Responding to a question about whether Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) would capture a wave of libertarian momentum for Republicans during the next election cycle, McCotter replied “Well, I say we’re going to have a stallion, I’m not saying it’s going to be Man o’ War.”

McCotter resigned from Congress in 2012 amid allegations his campaign engaged in election fraud.
